Standard Home Inspection

Criterium-Bennett Engineers Standard Home Inspection is a limited visual inspection consistent with the standards of practice of the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers (NABIE), designed to identify significant deficiencies and/or repairs needed in the major systems of a home (structural, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, roof, exterior) and to provide a general understanding of the property's current condition.

We look at the following areas during our Standard Home Inspection:

Samples collected by Criterium-Bennett Engineers are delivered to the lab on the same day and results of these tests are generally provided within 3-5 days after that.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has provided the following Radon in Your Home fact sheet to help educate residents about radon. Criterium-Bennett Engineers works with a local lab in testing for radon either in the air, or in the water supply. Water testing follows similar procedures as described in the section above - Water Quality. Air testing however, requires placement of a kit on the day of inspection and is collected 48 hours later. It is important that you or your Realtor make arrangements for our return access. Results of the radon air test are generally provided within 2-3 days from submission.
